Hi, welcome to my profile page.

After 36 years of working for a large public organisation leading/managing the work for an excess of 250 people and a budget of $10's of millions, involvement and running of large scale projects I decided in August 2009 to change direction! Some have said to me......"wow that is a brave choice in today's economic environment!" Maybe it is, however, I knew the time was right to move out from behind a desk and do something that I am passionate about... you guessed it "home maintenance". I also wanted to get fitter and naturally through the exercise I was aiming to - lose some weight!!

As a teenager I was building my own furniture, desks, wine racks, bedroom furniture, audio racks to name a few. When we built our first home in Rotorua in the mid 1980's that passion developed to the total "package" i.e. landscaping, retaining walls, cobblestone drive and BBQ area, gardens, staining and painting timber (internal & external)...... you name it, people commented on my flair for this type of activity. These skills were then replicated on a further four homes in Whangarei and here in East Auckland.

I have found that when you maintain and present your home well you will improve value and improve your chances when the time comes to sell. I know from personal experience that first impressions count!
